Tinwoodsman Pewter

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — gandsenterprise @ 3:57 pm

Pewter has been around for ages.  It was once known as poor man’s silver.  It is not poor man’s silver any more.  The new styles and the unique qualities of pewter have it in the top running of metal for your home and kitchen.  Pewter does not tarnish but does get a patina to it.  Some like this aged look, if you are not one then you can clean the piece with 0000 steel wool. Gently.  Pewter is beautiful no matter how you like it.   Strong and now lead free.  The new pewter manufactors or family owned metal smiths are making designs that will fit into any kitchen.  From Cape Cod, Traditional, Transitional to Contemporary.  You can find a pewter piece to fit in.

Tinwoodsman Pewter makes fine high quality pewter pieces.  The measuring spoons and measuring cups have found their way to many Food Network Shows, including Paula Deens Show. You might pay a little more than a stainless steel piece. But with the quality and the design. These are little pieces of works of art for your kitchen.  You wont hide these pieces in the kitchen drawer. Check out these and more Tinwoodsman Pewter at Mama’s Gals Kitchen.

Where is your Heart!

For years the Kitchen Has meant good things to my sister and I.  Of course the obvious would be food, but the best would be the memories.  The memory of MOM taking a New England Pot Roast out of the oven. Lifting a lid on a cast iron dutch oven and the smell of onion, carrots, potatoes and roast streaming through the house.  Well, The look on MOM’s face when thing went well.  She was a great Cook!  My first baking lesson, making banana nut bread.  Aunts and Uncles at Christmas diving in and out of the kitchen for tidbits before dinner.  The laughter, the smiles, the memories.  My MOM and most of my Uncles and Aunts have long passed.  But I can still see the smiles, and hear the laughter.  That is where my heart is.  The Kitchen.  I guess that is why my sister and I opened a kitchen store. Mama’s Gals Kitchen.  It bring us happiness.  Where does your heart come from.  Maybe the garage with your father.  the garden with your sister. Let me know.  I would love to hear your stories.  Thanks for listening,  One of Mama’s Gals
